1. Who you are contracting with

ptr.services (the "Service") is provided by De Soto Creations ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

2. The Service

The Service is an author-in-the-loop AI writing studio: it helps you plan, draft, edit, illustrate, translate, lay out and publish books. AI actions consume credits, and the credit price of each action is shown before it runs.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
commit fraud, send spam, or misrepresent your identity;
interfere with security — no malware, probing, scanning, scraping, rate-limit evasion or circumventing technical limits;
reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service;
generate illegal content, sexual content involving minors, deepfakes of real people without consent, hate speech, harassment, malware, or content designed to deceive; or
attempt to jailbreak or bypass the safety controls of the underlying AI models.

5. AI content and responsibility

You are responsible for the prompts and material you submit, for confirming you hold the rights to any text or image you upload, and for how you use the outputs. Outputs may be inaccurate, derivative or unsuitable, and must not be relied on as legal, medical, financial or other regulated professional advice without qualified human review. You retain rights in the content you create with the Service, subject to the rights of third parties and the terms of the model providers. We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts to comply with law or these Terms. Rights-holders can report infringing content to support@ptr.services; we will review and remove where appropriate, and repeat infringement leads to termination.

6. Licence and our IP

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan. We retain all ownership of the Service and its intellectual property, including software, documentation and branding. You grant us a limited licence to host and process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, renewals, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Current prices are listed on our pricing page, and refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

8. Service levels

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features, models and pricing may change over time.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. On termination you lose access to the Service; where reasonably possible we will give you a window to export your manuscripts before deletion.

10. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. General

You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and the courts of Spain have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
